Our Consulting Team
Founder & CTO
Yousaf is a 30+ year veteran of FileMaker and started his computing career long before that in 1980. He was affectionately known at the time as the 'Whiz Kid' and by the time FileMaker was released in the mid '80s Yousaf had been through programming languages such as machine code, assembler, BASIC, PASCAL and FORTH, attending computer clubs, university meet-ups (whilst still at school) and helping local businesses put their computers to practical use.
After leaving University, he founded MacTherapy in 1991 which later became DataTherapy in 1995 and has managed the company through to the present day by constant innovation and reinvention, always focussing on the ethos of helping businesses solve problems with technology. He has worked with some of the UK's most successful businessmen and women and has designed long term solutions for desktop, infrastructure, cloud, web and mobile, both internal and public facing.
A regular speaker at UK FileMaker Events and Developer Conferences, Yousaf is well respected in the FileMaker community and is known for his 'Keep it Simple' mantra as well as his deep knowledge of all things related to multi-user business systems and the cloud.

Steve Taylor’s first computing project, and possibly his most successful, was when he devised and made an electronic word counter for his mother’s manual typewriter, at the age of 12.
Many years later, his entry into the world of professional IT was a logical extension of his work as a production manager in the performing arts and television, where he was making increasingly complex use of software to avoid the misery of typing and printing. He has created elaborate FileMaker systems for BBC Worldwide, Television Translation Limited and Sky TV, and other systems for clients in publishing, printing, architecture and property management, using FileMaker, PHP/SQL and Applescript. Recently he spent three years as the in-house database developer at the Francis Crick Institute.
Steve has a degree in Philosophy and Physics from Bristol University, is a FileMaker 17 Certified Developer, an Apple Certified Engineer, and can be found most weeks somewhere in London playing jazz or blues, on piano or bass.
Steve has been working in the IT industry for over 30 years starting out working with SME’s helping to network and integrate systems. He has been involved in networking and infrastructure since the early Token Ring and BNC deployments in the 80’s.
After many years running a small business working as a consultant and contractor he decided to take up a full time position with the WPP group working in the central London infrastructure team specialising in NetApp storage, data availability backup and security, he also had a lead role in the VMware environment.
He moved on to working for IBM as an infrastructure engineer where he spent some time in India advising on infrastructure and systems migration into the IBM cloud and the ongoing support.
Steve has achieved a 2nd DAN black belt and instructor level in Karate and runs a local KUGB club.
